Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to become a father for the second time amid rumours his girlfriend is pregnant.

The football star, 26, is said to be preparing a summer wedding after proposing to underwear model Irina Shayk on Valentine’s Day.

And reports in his native Portugal claim the 25-year-old Russian may be expecting their child.

Mirror has reported that the mother of Ronaldo’s baby is in fact a British student (and not an American waitress?), who now wants her baby back.

She gave up her rights to the child in exchange for a £10million payment. However, it’s revealed that the 20-year-old woman has bitterly regrets her decision and phones Ronaldo regularly in tears begging for a chance to meet her baby, and it’s said that she’s ready to give the money back.

A friend of Ronaldo said: “As far as he is concerned, it was her choice, her decision. He says, ‘She has zero rights to my son. She’s not seeing him ever again’.”

Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier has reaffirmed the story that he spotted Cristiano Ronaldo first when he was managing Liverpool before Manchester United snapped up the player.

“I saw him in the Toulon Under-21 tournament and we went for him, but we had a wage scale and we weren’t paying the sort of salary he wanted,” said Houllier.

“Then Manchester United played a friendly against Sporting Lisbon and all their boys said to Sir Alex Ferguson, “You have to sign him”. But I agreed with not breaking the wage structure. I thought it would cause problems in our dressing room.

“I know some of the signings were not as sharp as they could have been. Maybe we would have won the title with Ronaldo, but we had Harry Kewell, who was outstanding at the time and was very hungry but got a bad injury. After that, he never had the same confidence, the same appetite.”

Aston Villa will meet Liverpool on Monday night at a BPL match.

Ronaldo has suggested he would love to return to Manchester United in the future. The Portuguese spent six productive years at Old Trafford winning three league titles, the Champions League and numerous other trophies.

But despite making a blistering start to the season at Real Madrid under new boss Jose Mourinho, Ronaldo has refused to rule out a move back to the North West giants.

He said: ‘To be honest I miss the Premier League a lot. Of course I have good memories about Manchester. I have good friends there and I miss them a lot, so you never know.

‘Sir Alex Ferguson is like a second father for me. He helped me a lot during the six years I was in Manchester, he taught me many things.’

Ronaldo has made a prolific start to the season in Spain’s La Liga and has praised Mourinho for helping him rediscover his top form.

No other Real Madrid player had scored ten goals in four consecutive league games before Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star has scored ten goals in four consecutive league games, becoming the first Real Madrid player to do so, and 13 strikes overall in the 9 games he played in October.

Ronaldo’s next objective will be to break Puskas’ record 13 goals in seven consecutive games during the 1959/60 and 1960/61 seasons.

Cristiano scored two of Real Madrid’s goals in the team’s 6-1 victory over Deportivo, netted four for the first time in his career against Racing (4-1) and tallied another two against Hercules (3-1).
