Ronaldo must thought that he had secured Portugal all 3 points when he scored a goal in the 73rd minute… but a late equalizer by Poland’s Jacek Krzynowek spoiled the celebration. The game ended 2-2 draw.
Portugal is in a tough situation in their Euro 2008 qualifying group. There are 3rd in their group, with an extra game in hand compared to the top 2 teams. They will be no problem if the Portuguese win the remainder of their games, but considering their recent form, it’s not an easy task.
Ronaldo has to continue to work on his magic, and hope that his team mate will provide some good show as well.
Cristiano Ronaldo can’t do much to help his club because of his 3-match ban, but his goal was crucial to rescue Portugal from an embarrassing defeat against Armenia in their Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday (August 22).

All of the 3 Portuguese stars are wearing a number 7 shirt. Figo for both Portugal and Inter Milan, Quaresma for Porto and Ronaldo for Manchester United.
Besides that, Quaresma’s Portugal shirt number is often 27, while Ronaldo basically made the number 17 jersey his own.
