Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho sparked fury at Old Trafford when he described Cristiano Ronaldo as “ill-educated, disrespectful and immature” for criticising the Stamford Bridge chief for refusing to ever accept he could have made a mistake.

The war of words took a twist as Ronaldo revealed that he has received a personal apology from his fellow countryman; he said: “Mourinho has apologised to me and now I have no problem with him.

“I am pleased that this has happened. As far as I am concerned, the whole thing is now in the past.”

‘I deeply regret what I did and have accepted the FA’s charge without hesitation. I have also sent a personal apology to Cristiano,’ Ball told City’s website.

Manchester United win the Premiership for the first time in 4 years after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

United are 7 points ahead of Chelsea; and with just 2 more matches to go, they are the champions.

It has been a wonderful title race this season; Chelsea has some hard time with their injuries, but United had been playing some great football and deserve the title.

Cristiano Ronaldo has played a great part in United’s campaign. This will be his first premiership title since he joined the Devils; in fact it’s the first Premiership title for more than half of their first team players.

Congrats to Manchester United, the players, the staff and the fans. Congrats to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The ugly incident where Michael Ball stamped on Ronaldo’s stomach in the Manchester derby

Thanks to Dagendy for the video.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal of the match from a spot kick, but the more heroic act was probably at the other end when Edwin Van der Sar saved a late penalty… thus gave Manchester United all 3 points against Manchester City.

The Manchester derby victory means that United will need to take just 1 point from the remainder 2 games to clinch the title… and that is if Chelsea manage to win their last 3 games. In fact United could crown Premiership champions for the 2006/2007 season if Chelsea fail to get all 3 points against Arsenal on Sunday.

The game started ugly when City player Michael Ball stepped on Ronaldo’s stomach on purpose; but the referee couldn’t spot the incident. Ronaldo might not be popular among some players and opponents, but Ball’s action was simply a shame to the sport… hope that the FA will teach him a good lesson.
