Patrice Evra last night threatened to break Cristiano Ronaldo’s legs - because he is sick of his Manchester United team-mate taking the mickey.
“Before every training session I tell Ronaldo that if he nutmegs me, I’ll break his leg and rip his shirt to pieces,” said Evra. “I don’t want to have him taking the mickey out of me throughout the week.
“The tricks he pulls off are just too good. Once you’ve seen him do them, you don’t want to take him on any more.”
That was a joke from Evra obviously; here’s the real thing… Evra said: “No question, at this moment Ronaldo is the best player in the world.
“Cristiano can do the same job as Maradona or Pele or Best. He can be like them. The great thing about him, he does not do it just in training, he does it on the pitch. And he does not do it for himself, he does it for the team, for the fans and for winning the game.”
