Barcelona have revealed they have dropped their interests in Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo and wont buy him in the summer.

The 22-year-old has been in fine form so far this season and has been linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford, with the Catalan giants rumoured to have been lining up a bid.

However, the Premiership outfit have continuously denied the speculation and are reportedly set to offer the Portugal international a new contract. And Barcelona’s vice-president Ferran Soriano has confirmed that they are not looking to sign any midfield players at the end of the current campaign.

Soriano told Marca: “For next season, we are not predicting any big midfield signings.
“We only wait on two or three men for concrete positions.”
