Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Barclays Premiership Player of the Month award for the second month in a row.

Ronaldo scored seven goals in six league games in December, pushing his tally to 12, just behind Chelsea’s Didier Drogba in goal-scoring chart.

Ronaldo is only the 3rd player to won the award in consecutive months. The last time a player did it was almost a decade ago, Arsenal’s Dennis Bergkamp in August and September 1997. The first player that achieved this was Robbie Fowler.
